No, not at all! SettleBro is extremely flexible. You can add your flatmates or friends by simply typing their names in the ledger. They don't need to sign up, create accounts, or download the app themselves for you to track balances and export summaries to share with them.

Itemized splitting is one of SettleBro's standout features. When you add a bill, instead of dividing the total equally, you can add items separately (e.g., "Veg Pizza", "Chicken Burger"). You then toggle which friends shared which specific items. SettleBro automatically calculates taxes and delivery charges proportionally so nobody pays for what they didn't order.

Absolutely. We take security very seriously. All synchronization utilizes bank-grade, end-to-end SSL/TLS encryption. More importantly, SettleBro does not link or store your credit card or bank login credentials, and we never sell your shared database or personal information to third parties.

SettleBro is a ledger and tracking application, meaning we do not process financial transactions directly. To settle a balance, you can pay your friend via your preferred external payment method (such as cash, UPI, bank transfer, etc.). Once the payment is made, simply record the settlement in SettleBro, and the app will instantly recalculate and clear the balances.

Yes. SettleBro is built offline-first. You can add expenses, edit groups, and view balances in areas with poor internet connectivity (like camping trips or basement restaurants). Once you connect back to cellular data or Wi-Fi, the app seamlessly synchronizes your updates in the background.
