1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the SettleBro mobile application and official website (settlebro.com), which is owned and operated as a unit of HypeBuilt (hypebuilt.com), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Eligibility & Account Security
To use SettleBro, you must be at least 13 years of age. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, and you are fully liable for all activities, expense logs, and transactions recorded under your profile.
3. Description of Service
SettleBro is a group expense-sharing and balance-tracking ledger application. SettleBro is a unit of HypeBuilt. SettleBro is not a bank, payment gateway, payment processor, or financial custodian. We do not hold, transfer, store, or handle your funds. All payments and settlements occur externally between users.
4. User Conduct & Accuracy of Entry
Users are required to log accurate and truthful ledger entries. You agree not to use the services for fraudulent, deceptive, or unauthorized purposes, including tracking imaginary debts. SettleBro is not liable for mathematical errors, inaccuracies, or disputes arising from user-entered information.
5. External Settlements & Third-Party Applications
SettleBro provides a tracking utility to record manual settlements made externally. Any financial settlements (whether cash, UPI, bank transfer, or other payment modes) are completed strictly outside of the application. SettleBro is not responsible or liable for transaction failures, payment delays, or disputes occurring inside external payment apps or banks.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All software code, graphic interfaces, website designs, brand assets, logos (including settlebro-logo.svg), and marketing contents are the exclusive property of HypeBuilt. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute any part of our intellectual property without written permission from HypeBuilt.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SettleBro and HypeBuilt are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operations. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, relationships, or money, arising from your use of SettleBro.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SettleBro, HypeBuilt, and its founders, developers, and team members from any claims, liabilities, losses, or legal costs arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of the services.
9. Modifications to Service & Terms
HypeBuilt reserves the right to modify or discontinue SettleBro, or update these Terms of Service, at any time. Your continued use of the platform after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes or claims arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
